Quick Start Guide

Step 1. Creating a new account



Before MailSweep can connect to your e-mail server you must create a new account. In Tools menu select Account Manager. Here you can create account for each mailbox you have. Click New button. In Account Properties dialog enter account name under Name (for example, "Main account"). Then enter the rest mailbox parameters (user, password, mail server, and port). These parameters are similar to these one from your e-mail client program such as Outlook or Eudora.

Step 2. Connecting to e-mail server

Now, when the account properties have been set up, in Connection menu select Connect. MailSweep will connect to your mailbox and shows mailbox contents in message list.

Step 3. Deleting unwanted e-mail messages

Select message you want to delete by clicking on it in message list (if you want to delete more than one message, click these messages while holding Ctrl key), and then select Delete in Message menu. These messages will be marked for deletion. Finally, in Mailbox menu click Sweep. This will remove the selected messages from your mailbox.
