XtremeSafe File Lock 1.0 - User Guide and FAQ

Screenshots - More Details

Installation and Settings

Download and run XtremeSafeFileLock1.0.exe to install the program.
After installing the program, please run "XtremeSafe File Lock" for once. It will automatically modify the registry to install context menus.

You can modify the settings in the main user interface.
By default, it runs in "Manual Mode". Every time you encrypt/decrypt a file, you will be asked for the password.
To simplify the process, you can switch it to "Auto Mode". When you press the "Save Settings" button, you will be asked for the password to be stored with "XtremeSafe File Lock". After that, this password will be used for encryption/decryption automatically. If you prefer the "Auto Mode", we strongly recommend that you install(copy) "XtremeSafe File Lock" onto a flash disk, run it on the flash disk, and press "Save Settings". Each time you save settings, it will automatically update the registry with the new location where it is installed.

Encrypt a file

Just right-click a file, and select "Encrypt using XtremeSafe File Lock" from the context menu, and then type in your password if it runs in "Manual Mode".

Decrypt a file

Just right-click a file, and select "Decrypt using XtremeSafe File Lock" from the context menu, and then type in your password if it runs in "Manual Mode".
