How to select attacks

Try the Automatic Mode first. Start it and wait 10-20 minutes. Use Plain Text attack if the password is still unknown. (You may need to find a PTA file for that attack on the internet.)

If you cannot apply this, you can use: Wordlist attack.

If you know something about the password:
1. Console attack using mask characters
2. "False-type" attack
3. Template attack

Sometimes, you may need to use "brute-force" attack and multicomputer "brute-force" attack.

Frequently Asked Questions - Visual Zip Password Recovery Processor

Has read the documentation, has made all on it, but the program has not found the password. What's the problem in this case?
Possible reasons :
- You may not use valid character set. Probably there was likely to be a symbol in the password, which could not be found in a character set. If your alphabet is not Latin (English), read section "OEM code conversion".
- Out-of-date format of a zip file.
- The zip file is damaged. It is not a simple case. While selecting files, only undamaged ones should be chosen. Probably the program will find a correct password. Or save header and work without zip file.
