How to use Meda Audio Converter

  1. Please launch Meda Audio Converter

  2. Use open menu to open the video/audio file, and please waiting for the loading progress

  3. You can listen to the audio after the loading progress finished and set the start point and end point for the output mp3/wav by drag mouse on the wave-pad(You also can use "set begin" and "set end" button on tool-bar to set the block range). Please note: if you don't have range selected, the whole audio will be converted to mp3/wav on next step

  4. If you need to convert the audio into wav format, please use File->Save on main-menu, and enter the filename for the output wav file

  5. If you need to convert the audio into mp3 format, please use File->Encode MP3 on main-menu. Select the quality for the output mp3 file and press OK button, and please specify the output filename on next dialog

  6. Congratulation, you have converted your video/audio into mp3/wav file, please enjoy the software

  1. What is a codec?
    A codec is software that is used to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or video. Content creators use codecs because a compressed file takes up less storage space on your computer and can be transferred across the Internet more quickly and smoothly. When you play a digital media file, Windows Media Player uses a codec to decompress the file. Codecs are used to create and play nearly all music or video files on your computer or on Web sites.

  2. How to encode to mp3?
    You can encode current selected range to a mp3 file, if there are no selected range, Meda Audio Converter will encode whole audio to mp3 file.

    Please choose File->Encode MP3 on main-menu, and please select an output mp3 filename, and waiting for the encode progress.

    After the operation, current selected range will be encode to a mp3 file.


  3. How to cut a block to wav or mp3?
    First please set selection range to current opened audio file, you can drag a block or using set selection begin and set selection end button to indicate the selection range.

    After you indicate the selection range, please click File->Save Block As on main-menu, and please set the output filename if you want to cut the selection to a wav file. If you want to cut the selection to a mp3 file, please click File->Encode MP3 on main-menu and set the output mp3 filename.
