Audio CD

When creating a Redbook CDA, the CD Writer module will accept audio files in a supported format then during the burning process the files will be converted to CDA and the Red Book file system will be created on the CD.

Multiple files can be added by dragging them from Windows Explorer and dropping them on the layout. While in this mode you cannot create folders. Dropping a folder on the layout will import the files but not the folder.

Files can also be added with the Add an Audio File... button. Files can be removed from you layout with the Remove Selected Audio File... button.

Right clicking with your mouse on the layout will display a popup menu which will also permit you to add files as well as moving their position or removing them entirely.

Burn Settings

  • Device provides a dropdown list of all available devices on your system. Select the device that you want to use by picking it from the list.
  • Speed provides a dropdown list of all available speeds. Select the speed that you want to use by picking it from the list.
  • Mode cane be set for either Write Mode or Test Mode. Test mode simulates writing but does not burn the disk.
  • Buffer lists the available methods available for your drive.
  • Write method is either Track at Once or Disk at Once. Not all drives support Disk at Once and the method is only truly useful when writing audio CD's.
  • Communications with the CD writer can be through the native Windows NT SPTI interface or ASPI for Windows 9X.
  • Pause is the number of seconds to delay between each audio track on a CDA disk.
  • Label can be set for the label that is displayed when the CD is viewed in Windows.
When in audio CD mode, the bottom of the window displays a scale that approximates the total run time of your layout.

The rightmost column in the status bar shows the type and size of the CD in your CD burner.
