Add New Item to Database
- Click Add button.
- Observe that Edit and Delete buttons are disabled and text of Add button changes to Cancel. You will also see that Save button is enabled.
- In Item Details section, specify the Name of Item in Item Name. This field can't be empty.
- In the same section, tell the Car-Tracker what was the Car-Run reading of your Car when you last changed this Consumable Item. You need to specify this value under Last Changed field. This field can't be empty.
- Car-Tracker needs to know after how many Km (or Miles) your Car needs this Consumable Item to be changed in order to be in good condition. Just specify this value under Change After field.
- When you finish specifying all the necessary values, click Save button. Car-Tracker will save the consumable item to database.
- Observe that Save button is disabled and Delete button is enabled. The Text of Cancel button changes back to Add and the List of Items now showing the item which you just added. The Status of Consumables list on the Main Tab also get refreshed and starts showing the status of consumable item which you just added to database.
- You can always leave the process in the middle by click on Cancel button. Car-Tracker will ask for the confirmation and upon confirmation, it will restore the GUI state back to the state as it was before you clicked on Add button
