  1. How can I set a password?
    Click Tools and choose Edit User. Type a password twice in the boxes provided. The next time you start Just Checking, you will see a logon dialog. Select "Default" from the User list and type your password.

  2. How do I add a signature to my checks?
    To add your signature, you need to scan a signature and get it the right size. Save it as a JPG or BMP. Then in Just Checking click Print, Design Checks, click Edit. Tab to the empty rectangle in the lower right. Once it has the focus, double-click it to pick your signature file.

  3. I dont won't the "Date" box to have to be the first entry box when I add a transaction. Can I change it to something else?
    If you want to cursor to be in another box such as Payee when the transaction dialog open, you can change it. Right-click the transaction dialog. A popup menu will appear. You will notice that Date has a bullet beside it, just left click another field such as Payee. Now Payee will have the focus when opening the transaction dialog.

  4. The check template that I use doesn't print on checks in the position I want it to. Can I make a change?
    You certainly can. Click Print. Choose Design Checks. Click Edit. The "Check Template Editor" should appear. Click a field that needs to be moved. This will select it. Use your arrow keys to move the field left, right, up, or down. If you want to change the font, you can do that too as long as the field is selected. When you close the "Check Template Editor", you should see a dialog that says "Save Changes?". Choose Yes.
