Frequently Asked Questions - Comparison Chart

  1. Under what circumstances will a SMS message be undeliverable to a contact?
It will happen if one of the following happens:
    - Mobile network congestion
    - Contact's mobile device is engaged. Examples:
    • - there is an incoming call/SMS to contact's mobile at the same time
    • - contact is making an outgoing call/SMS at the same time.
    - Contact's mobile number is wrong, and the number is unavailable.

  2. What happens when the SMS message cannot be delivered to a contact?
The software will continue to send out the SMS message to the contact every minute indefinitely until the message is eventually sent out.

  3. How to stop the software from continuously attempting to send a particular SMS message?
    For Version 1.0 Users:

Download this executable file, and save it in your SMS-Scheduler root folder. E.g. At location C:\Program Files\Airquace\SMS-Scheduler

Close all SMS-Scheduler programs, then run the executable file you just downloaded. Select and delete the message(s) you wish to stop sending permanently.

Restart the SMS-Engine and check the engine logs for the messages you had just deleted.

    For Version 2.0 Users:

Delete the message directly from the Outbox list.

  4. What is "I/O 32" error as shown on the engine logs?
This is a window error. It's given for a variety of reasons.

In the SMS-Scheduler case, it probably means that the program have problems in:

    a) connecting to the modem,
    b) saving the data to hard disk, or
    c) saving the logs.

    To fix the error,

    i) Check that there is no other program accessing the modem. E.g. The iTegno Mobile Office Suite. Close all other programs that may be causing the error.

ii) Click Ctrl + Alt + Del to open your "Window Task Manager" window. Then, click on the "Services" tab. Under the list of "Image Name", look for "fbserver".

If "fbserver" if not there, shut down your SMS-Engine, and SMS-Scheduler windows and restart the programs again by selecting them from: START MENU > PROGRAMS > AIRQUACE > SMS-SCHEDULER >

iii) If you have missed out saving some logs because of the error, the logs lost cannot be cannot replaced. But note that subsequent new logs should be working, as it is mostly just one-off case. Hence, you should be able to save and retrieve subsequent logs.

If this error occurs a lot of times, it may be because there is another program opening and accessing the log file. E.g. Notepad. Close all other programs that may be causing the error.

  5. What is "recur: 90" error as shown on the engine logs?
This is not an error at all. It just means that the schedule is set at a occurrence of once. If you have set your schedules for more than 1 time or repeated occurrence, go and check your schedule details again.
