What is Solitaire in Timed Rounds?

Unlike regular solitaire, Action Solitaire is played for points against the clock.
The game is played in timed rounds. In each round, you have a goal score that you need to achieve. If you make the goal score, you will advance to the next round. If you do not make the score, you lose.

Various actions during a game score points, such as pairing cards or moving cards out of play. Click on the help button for details on how many points you can score in each particular game.

Each round begins with a certain number of time bonus points. These time bonus points will decrease as the round progresses. The round ends when the time bonus reaches zero.

You can end a round at any time by clicking on the Take Score button (there is a Take Score button located in the playing field and also another one in the toolbar). Pressing the space bar also takes the score. Your score at the end of the round will be your current score plus any time bonus points.

At the end of a round if you have made a score equal to the goal score or better, you will advance to the next round. If not, you will lose.

Note that if you run out of time in a round but still have more points that the goal score, you will still advance to the next round (you will not have any time bonus points added to your score, however). Running out of time will only end the game if you are below the goal score.

When you reach the goal score in a round your score will turn yellow and a chime will sound. When the time bonus points get down to only 1000 points, a countdown sound will begin to warn you that you are nearly out of time.

At any time during a round you can click on the Pause button to pause the clock. Just click on the Pause button again to restart the game.
