Publishing to the WEB

If you are not experienced with publishing content to the web and someone else maintaining your website sent the files (by mail) which are created by Realview to him. He will understand what to do with it, and implement it without problems in your website. If you do you have some experience with content for the WEB there is a short description below how to publish Realview objects to the internet.

If all options are set and the preview is checked you are ready to upload your Realview object to the Internet. Realview 3D is completely Java based and is always shown by HTML. In most cases the Website is ready and standard images are replaced by a Realview 3D object. See the section 'implementing in your websit' for a detailed description how a Realview 3D object should replace a standard image. There are several ways to export your Realview files to the internet:

  • Local publish
  • Directly upon creating of the object with the publish command
  • Using the internal FTP client

Local publish

In many cases you will probably publish your Realview objects locally and upload them later on to your server. This could also be convient for backup reasons.

  • Select from the menu, Project, Publish

  • Click on the next button and the files are made, see implementing in your website for a detailed description of the files.

Frequently Asked Questions - Realview 3D

  1. Is it hard for me to make an interactive (3D) animation?
No, it isn't. You don't need any special skills to produce an interactive object yourself. The software include an extensive helpfile. You might need some help to publish your animation into your website.

  2. Is it only possible to rotate the objects?
No, in fact the only limit is your phantasie. Interactive slideshows, colorchanges, sound, navigation to an orderform or another URL; it is all possible! So 3D is just a tiny part of all interactive features.

  3. Do I need a new website?
No, you just delete your 2D images, and replace these images by your (3D) interactive animations. That's all.

  4. And if my webbuilder does my website?
If your webbuilder also takes care of the photography, he will be able to make the animations by using this software. In the case you deliver the images yourself to the webbuilder, you can offer him the animations instead of the images.

  5. What is the quality of the animation?
If you like your images now, you will like your future animations even more. Because your animation is based upon the same true color JPG's as you use right now; so there's no loss of quality of your images.

  6. Why should I make animations for my website?
Because research (Greenfield) shows a much longer stay of your visitors on your website. Your (potential) clients are also more willing to buy your merchandise and there's less chance that they will return your products afterwards. It is important for you to give much attention to the way you present your products to your public on the internet. So the content of your website should be an essential part of your total E-commerce strategy.

  7. Can I use the animations only for my website?
No, you can e-mail your animations without attachments to the world, which is a strong marketing tool. Inform your dealers, clients, prospects etc...
