Frequently Asked Questions - RGB machine

Common handling

Copy all necessary files in a separate folder on your hard drive. Launch RGBmachine. To choose input folder call the dialog by pressing Ctrl+F or via File menu. The program starts to make thumbnail images (usually does very fast). The first image appears in main frame and the controls become active. You can always jump to any image by clicking on thumbnail in the list below. To pass to the next image use Next button, or press Space.

You can manage input and output folders in the Tuning dialog - press Ctrl+T or choose File -> Tuning in the menu.

Define size / Aspect ratio and resolution

You can define size or aspect ratio by choosing corresponding item in "Size/AR" drop-down list or by pressing 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0. Changing size or aspect ratio resets cropping layout. Define in resolution drop-down list. Remember that output image size is limited by 20 megapixels. Both Size/AR and resolution lists are editable it the Tuning dialog.

Rotate/Crop

You can rotate images 90°CW, 90°CCW, 180°, or back to initial position. Use four buttons with arrows or Ctrl + Arrow keys. Use rotation to reset cropping layout. Utilize current rotation for other images by "Hold rotation" check box.

Drag near the center of the image to move or near the edge of main frame to turn the image. To zoom-in - move the cursor in the image near the edge and drag out of center. Use also Ctrl + Numpad keys.

Color correction

Use five sliders to adjust the color of the image or use numeric keys of Numpad. Toggle correction with Toggle Corr. button or by pressing Esc. You can control utilizing of current color correction for other images by three radio buttons:
rst - reset color settings for the next image;
hld - hold color settings for the next image, no reset;
str - store

Red-eye removal

To remove red-eye effect hold down Shift button and move mouse pointer over an image. The appeared pop-up window with pixel-to-pixel scale is used for both detailed viewing and for red-eye effect removal. Adjust the size of anti-red-eye brush with mouse wheel. Use left mouse button to remove reds. To eliminate corrections use right mouse button. It also lets you nail down pop-up window for more precise aiming.

Output

To save current image and pass to the next one, push Save/Next button or press Enter. For processed images the program creates folder "rgbm" in input folder by default. You can manage input and output folders as it described above. The output format is JPEG, sRGB color space, 100% quality.
