How to use AcreSoft Credit Card Butler

  1. To start using Credit Card Butler add one or more cards to the program using the Add a Card button. After all your credit cards are added using the program is pretty intutive. Each time the program is started, the main screen comes up.

  2. On the main screen you can see a summary of the transactions on all your cards. Also you can pick an individual card to view or work with by selecting the card you want from the cardlist and clicking Open Selected Card.

  3. When your are done working with a certain card, close it by clicking the close button.

  4. You never have to save your files because Credit Card Butler handles this automatically at the proper time.
Statement Time


    To reconcile a card company's monthly statement with your records do the following:

  1. Open the card by selecting it from the cardlist and then clicking the Open Selected Card button.

  2. Add any fees and interest charges as a charge by clicking the + button.

  3. For each charge or payment on the statement, select it in the transaction grid and click the Toggle X button to show it has appeared on a monthly statement.

  4. After these steps the balance shown on your statement should match the Reconciled Balance Owed shown at the top of the screen.

  5. In case of a discrepancy double check all figures, and also make sure the X is toggled on for all items on the statement.
