If you don't need to enter an area code when dialing in your own area code, enter your area code in the Area Code box as shown below. If however you are required to enter an area code when dialing in your own area code enter a ZERO. You will also need to enter the full telephone number with the area code when saving a Contact's number. Example: 718-555-1212
The "1" before the telephone number will be dialed all the time if you enter the "1" in the box called "Outside Line" as shown above. You will not have to enter a "1" in the Long Distance Prefix box.
