Advanced features

Create, edit and delete dive, buddy, dive location and dive school information on your handheld (unlimited).
SharkPoint for PocketPC acts like an electronic dive log, and let you "fill-in-the-blanks" for several screens of dive parameters. SharkPoint is limited only by the amount of memory in your PocketPC device.

Use the revolutionary DiveSync technology to synchronize and backup your logbooks with SharkPoin for Windows.
Synchronising to and from the PC is accomplished when you place your PocketPC in its cradle. The synchronized logbook files can be opened in SharkPoint for Windows.

Download GPS information of the precise co-ordinates of your dive site.

Statistics and search tools make your electronic log very useful.
You can easily search/find data and review trends in your diving to answer questions like "What depth do I most frequently dive to, and how long do I typically stay there?" or "Has my overall air consumption become better lately? By how much?".

Enable the enhanced warning system
The SharkPoint for PocketPC enhanced warning system helps and warns you when you enter incomplete or incorrect information (you are able to turn this option off).

SharkPoint's revolutionary Dive Plan Assistant and Dive Plan Wizard
Use the revolutionary Dive Plan Assistant to plan or the Dive Plan Wizard to check your dive with the most common dive tables.

SharkPoint DualPack for Windows

When starting SharkPoint for Windows for the first time, the program will create (based on the program default settings) a new and empty logbook database (filename: Noname.SHA). And based on this default settings the program will display a Welcome -dialog, which enables you to navigate through the program (see picture).

Press the appropriate button to create or open a SharkPoint for Windows logbook. Cancel the dialog by pressing the Cancel -button in the right/top.

All your actions in the Welcome -dialog will lead you to the default logbook section. SharkPoint for Windows is, as SharkPoint for PocketPC, divided into six logbook sections (Dives, Dive place, Dive school, Dive buddy, Log settings and Personal Information). This gives the user the opportunity to enter dive information in a grouped and effective way.

Within SharkPoint for Windows are four different ways to switch between the different logbook section panels.
  1. In the main window the logbook section locator can found on the left side. The logbook section locator is an easy to use button menu. Each button will switch the corresponding SharkPoint logbook section panel.
  2. The second way to select individual logbook section panels is the usage of the speed buttons in the toolbar of SharkPoint (see picture).
  3. By using the commands Go to previous input panel or Go to next input panel in the main menu Action you are able to switch between the sections.
  4. The last way to switch between logbook section panel is the usage of the function keys F10 and F11.

Frequently Asked Questions - SharkPoint DualPack (PocketPC & Windows)

  1. How do I save a dive logbook on my PocketPC using SharkPoint?
SharkPoint automatically checks if you want to save any changes to the dive logbook on your handheld device, when you tap the Ok button at the top right of the PocketPC edit screen. You can also choose the Record / Save... option in any edit screen.

  2. How do I change the Imperial measurement units system to metric unit system in SharkPoint for PocketPC?
To work with Metric measurement units you have to switch the first Measurement units switch on the Logbook dialog of SharkPoint (menu Options menu command Logbook). After you changed the switch SharkPoint works with the Imperial units system. Also you can switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice versa on the same screen. The relevant data in the logbook database will be automatically recalculated.

  3. How do I use the dive plan assistant of SharkPoint?
In order to use the dive plan assistant of SharkPoint you have to select your favorite dive agency in the dialog Logbook. By default the dive assistant uses the NAUI dive tables. If you select the "" option SharkPoint disables the dive plan assistant in your logbook.

  4. I would like to convert the units in the demo SharkPoint for Windows from metric to imperial. Can I do that?
Yes! Default, the values of the selectors metric/imperial and Celsius/Fahrenheit (on the tab Log settings of SharkPoint for Windows) are imperial and Fahrenheit (this in case you start a new logbook).

The Default values (which are used creating a new logbook) can be altered in the dialog Settings -> tab Logbook defaults. After changing the logbook defaults, every time you start a new logbook the selector's metric/imperial and Celsius/Fahrenheit in the logbook settings section (select the section in the navigation bar on the left of the screen) will be changed to the new default values.
