How to Install?

febooti Command line email is distributed in one of two forms, either a self-installing program, or a zipped application.

For self-installing program: begin from STEP 2.

STEP 1
The first step in installing the application is to unzip the downloaded zip file.

STEP 2
Run the self-installing program.
To do it, follow these steps:
- Open the folder/directory where you downloaded the file and locate fcmail13.exe
Double click the file. The self-installing program will run.

STEP 3
Choose "Install to" location by typing path or by pressing Browse button. The default installation location is Windows Program Files folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\febooti Command line email).

STEP 4
If check box "Automatically check for updates" remains checked, febooti Command line email will automatically check for newer program version (see chapter 11 for more information). To disable this feature simply uncheck the check box.

STEP 5
Press "Install" button to begin installation process. In most cases there will not be additional operations. If there is any, follow on-screen instructions, e.g. possible that, program will ask to replace the files, reply yes these questions.

Frequently Asked Questions - Febooti Command line email

  1. Is it possible to run Command Line Email from pure DOS?
    No. Although command line email utility has to be run from DOS promt, it is based on Windows technology and runs in windows DOS boxes.

  2. Does febooti link (footer at the bottom) appears in registered version of Command Line Email?
    No. In registered version febooti link (footer at the bottom) is automatically disabled.

  3. I'm not familiar with command line (DOS prompt) tools. Where to begin?
    Start RegEdit.exe from Start Run menu. Now, point regedit to the following directory:

  4. Can i use this tool to send SPAM?
    No, you can't. Please read the license (included in product). Please don't use this tool to send Unsolicited Commercial Email (SPAM)

  5. How can I test HTML sending feature without adding febooti link (footer at the bottom) in trial version?
    If e-update (formerly Live Update) is enabled, fileTweak checks for updates automatically once a week. To read more about the e-update, go to febooti fileTweak e-update details. For testing purposes it is possible to run Command Line Email with -TESTHTML command.

  6. I am getting error message Failed to initialize the Windows Sockets when trying to send an email. How can I fix this?
    Probably you have got an old version of sockets. Try to update your Internet Explorer to install newer version of sockets.
