Demo Mode

If you start ScanDBX without a valid serial number, you will only be able to run the product in Demo Mode. Demo mode can be activated by clicking the "Start in Demo Mode" button on the first page of the registration wizard (above), which is the first dialog you will see when you run ScanDBX after installation.

In Demo mode, ScanDBX will allow you to scan your Outlook Express mail store files for problems and duplicate messages, and will scan your Outlook Express email accounts for connection problems. Demo mode will also allow you to use the Troubleshooting Wizard to start diagnosing your computer's problem. However, you will not be able to actually fix or recover damaged emails, change damaged account settings, or fix any problems with the Troubleshooting Wizard until you purchase the full version of ScanDBX.

The File Scanner and Duplicate Email Remover

In Demo mode, the Mail Store File Scanner will allow you to:
  • Scan your Outlook Express mail store files for damaged files and lost emails.
  • Scan your Outlook Express mail store files for duplicate emails that ScanDBX can remove.
  • See a summary of recovered and duplicate emails, and information on how extensively your files are damaged.
You will need to purchase the full version of ScanDBX if you want to:
  • Repair your Outlook Express mail store files.
  • Recover lost email messages.
  • Remove duplicate messages.

The Email Account Tester

In Demo mode, the Email Account Tester will allow you to:
  • Scan your Outlook Express email accounts for damaged or incorrect email account settings. See a summary of the types of problems your accounts have and how many of them cannot be verified with your servers.
You will need to purchase the full version of ScanDBX if you want to:
  • Correct your Outlook Express email account settings.

The Error Message Lookup Tool

In Demo mode, the Error Message Lookup Tool will allow you to:
  • Search through all the known Outlook Express error messages.
You will need to purchase the full version of ScanDBX if you want to:
  • Automatically correct your Outlook Express problem.

The Troubleshooting Wizard

In Demo mode, the Troubleshooting Wizard will allow you to:

  • Automatically correct your Outlook Express problem.
