Using TopMail

Enter values into the following fields according to the table and click the 'Send Now' button:
  • From: - This could be any email address. Friendly name convention in the format name is supported. For example: Gary Mor
  • To: - One or more valid email addresses, separated buy ';'. For example: Jane@hotmail.com; Jerry Lane
  • Cc:Optionally you can Cc the message. Format is the same as for the 'To' field.
  • Message:The email body text. Enter any text you like for the email message.
  • SMTP Server - An SMTP server to send out the email.
An SMTP server is a server on the web that is used by email applications (like Microsoft Outlook) to send emails thru in the Simple Mail Transport Protocol. Usually one would use the SMTP server of his/her ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Click the 'Find it for me' button to open the 'Recommended SMTP Servers' dialog. The dialog lists the SMTP servers defined on the computer.

You can pick one server from this list or you can find the recipient SMTP servers by clicking the 'Find recipient SMTP servers' button. Before clicking this button make sure that:
  1. You are online (connected to the Internet).
  2. You entered at least one valid DNS IP address.
  3. The 'To:' field is a valid email address.
TopMail will search the web for the SMTP servers of the recipient domain. These servers would usually accept any email for an address under their domain.

If the search fails, make sure the 'To:' address contains a valid domain name. (for example abc@hotmail.com is valid because hotmail.com is a valid domain but abc@hotmaiww.com is not valid because the domain hotmaiww.com does not exist).

DNS is a "Domain Name" Server on the Internet that translate a domain name such as www.iipwr.com to an IP address. Usually DNS IP addresses are provided by your ISP. You can find the them in your network configuration settings under properties for TCP/IP.
