our solution: The benefits of East-Tec CryptSecure 2006

1. Securing your data in your own "digital safe"

Have you ever thought how easy it would be if you were able to lock and secure your computer data inside a safe, just as you do in the real world with your private papers, money, jewelleries, or other valuable personal information? First, you would save a lot of money and space, because you wouldn't have to lock your computer and all your removable disks inside a real safe. Now, using East-Tec CryptSecure 2006, you can lock your data in a digital safe, that is actually a private place inside your computer where only you have access.

What is a "digital safe"?

A digital safe is a private disk drive on your computer that can be accessed only by the owner who has the passphrase to unlock it. This safe is protected by two powerful things: the passphrase and the encryption algorithms. When you open the safe with the correct passphrase, you can use it just as you do with any other disk drive from your computer (you can copy, transfer or compress files from within any application). When you close the safe, it is just a normal innocent file among the other millions of files from your PC, and no one will know that file is actually a safe. Even if they find this out, they won't be able to access it, as it is protected by the passphrase and strong encryption.

2. Transfer or store your data in password-protected encrypted files

Sending information via e-mail or Internet, storing data on laptops, computers or removable drives, can represent common tasks for most of us. East-Tec CryptSecure 2006 can easily protect your information in a password-protected archive where all data is encrypted inside.

The very intuitive interface makes it easy for you to secure your data before transmitting it or copying it to an external drive: you select the files and folders that you wish to protect, enter an access password and all is ready to go. East-Tec CryptSecure 2006 also allows you to create self-decrypting executable files, so you can send secure files to anyone, even if that person doesn't have CryptSecure installed. The user friendly interface and Windows shell integration makes it easy even for novice computer users to secure their documents, using advanced encryption methods.

3. Add more security to your data using CryptSecure 2006 advanced technologies

1.Safes can be easily buried among the other millions of files from your computer, without offering any clue of what they might contain. Many applications will look for encrypted files on your PC, trying to get access to them. When not used, CryptSecure safes are just normal files, with any extension you want, and with no identifiable internal header. No one will know that single file you have among millions of files, actually contains encrypted data.

2. Prevent spyware or keyboard loggers to intercept your passwords. When you type in your encryption passwords, all access to your keyboard is shut down. No spy ware or keyboard loggers can obtain your password.

3. Internal backup features that ensure the integrity of your data in case of data corruption, even when using large encrypted files or safes.

4. Digital signature of all CryptSecure executable files, using the Microsoft .NET technology, to prevent third parties from taking control of the application routines and from getting unauthorized access to your encrypted data.
