Web Dumper 2.4 - User Guide and FAQ

Screenshots - More Details

Getting started

Web Dumper works the same way all common web browsers use to do, downloading documents from the World Wide Web using HTTP protocol. But rather than displaying them with their embedded pictures, songs or movies, it saves them to files for later offline browsing. Furthermore, instead of downloading one only document per user request from the web at a time, Web Dumper goes thru all links and get any document linked to the given starting page again and again recreating on your hard drive a copy a the original site's folder hierarchy.

Downloading a website

Enter the URL you want Web Dumper to download, no need to specify the protocol, 'http://' is assumed by default. For example: www.maxprog.com To download from first page or maxprog.com/support/ To download from a given directory or maxprog.com/support/index.html To download a given page Web Dumper also supports incremental downloads so you can fetch contents by file name this way: http://www.maxprog.com/test[1-2]/picture[001-002].jpg or http://www.maxprog.com//picture[12-15].jpg
