Alpha ZIP is a complete suite of tools for working with archives. The easiest way to work with Alpha ZIP is to use it through Windows itself via the shell extension.


To creat a new archive, inside Windows Explorer, select the files and folders you want to put inside the archive. Then right-click on the selection.


Right-click on the selection and select the funtion.


Archive Name - type in the path and a name for the new archive (use the browse button to select the path). By default the archive name is the name of the current folder, and the path is the current path.
