Now click on Generate and Display and you will see that you have created a rough intro animation without any effect or font properties. The problem is that all the sentences are overlapping each other, as for each text you must set it's unique X and Y position, incoming time and duration.

To set the position of each effect click on the Text position tab. Make sure you activate text 1, text, etc.
Fore text 1 set the position to top=100 left=10

To make text 1 freeze for 4 seconds, activate text 1 and set the freeze time to 40

Click on Generate and Display Now you will be able to create creative animations without limitations. The last part of this tutorial is to assign the fonts, colors and size to the text.

To do this click on Font styles.

Make sure you have selected the desired text 1, text 2, etc.

Click on "Font style". Your entire text is automatically assigned the "default" font zone.

In the text area, select the parts of your text you want to assign different properties by highlighting it (click and drag your mouse over the text)

Frequently Asked Questions - Amara Flash Intro and Banner Builder

  1. Q: How do I save the settings for each animation?
A: It automatically saves all data entered in the application as a template. It's recommended that, for each new animation you want to create, you first create a new template. To do so, click on the "New" button above the "Generate and Display" button. If you want, you can highlight the template name and enter your own unique name. Now when you close the application all the data for this specific animation will be saved under that template name.

  2. Q: I'm receiving an error when importing MP3 files?
Sometimes when importing MP3 files you may receive an error message such as Invalid MP3 Header or Wrong Format. This happens because Flash tend to be rather sensitive about the meta info in your sound file. Luckily there is rather quick fix to solve this.

    1) First go to http://www.winamp.com/player/free.php and download the "Lite" version, a free MP3 player
    2) Install Winamp and open the application
    3) Open the song that you would like to convert in winamp
    4) Click on "Toggle Play List Editor"
    5) Select and highlight the title of the song by right clicking on it and select "view file info".
    6) Then remove the check box under "ID3v2 Tag" and make sure only the "ID3v1 Tag" box is marked.
    7) Click on update
    8) Insert the MP3 file into any of the Amara Applications

    That's all!

  3. Q: Can I use spaces between the characters of the file name?
Preferable not. as not all web servers are supporting spaces in file names. Instead use a dash such as "my-flash-animation.swf"

  4. Q: I get an invalid picture error when rendering the animation?
Please make sure you DO NOT use "progressive" Jpeg files. Flash doesn't support progressive Jpeg files. Some Paint applications such as PaintShop Pro have progressive as a default save setting.

  5. Q: I use Frames and my animation does appear in the wrong frame?
This happens when you entered the wrong Frame Name. Please check in your HTML code what the correct frame name is. Normally it's something such as Mainframe or Mainframe or mainframe. Be exact, if the frame name uses an uppercase; enter it as well in the target URL.
