After launching ConversionTrack, you will see an interface like the illustration below. The interface has five tabs:

"Log File" - to locate the log file you want to analyze.
"Log Format" - to specify format of your log files.
"Convert Page" - to define the page that conversions happen, i.e. the page a user loads after placing an order.
"Filter" - to choose the filter you wish to use in the analysis.
"Option" - to adjust miscellaneous settings of the analysis process.
"About" - to display ConversionTrack's license and version information.

The following buttons are located at the bottom of the ConversionTrack main window:

"Load Profile" - to load predefined analysis configurations from a user profile.
"Save Profile" - to save current analysis configurations to a user profile.
"Analyze" - to perform the analysis process. You will see a progress window during this
process where you can press "Cancel" to abort at any time.
"Help" - to open the ConversionTrack help manual.
"Exit" - to exit ConversionTrack.

Here is a step by step guide for using ConversionTrack:

Let's assume you are selling products on your website; once a user places an order, they will reach the /post_order.htm page. To you, the conversion page should be set as /post_order.htm. For the sake of this example, let's assume your log file is located in c:\log\www.20021010:

Step 1: While on the "Log File" tab, choose "The logs are stored in one file" option. Press the "Browse" button and choose log file at c:\log\www.20021010.

Step 2: Click on the "Convert Page" Tab, press the "Add" button and then input the conversion page "/post_order.htm".

Step 3: Press the "Analyze" button located at the bottom of the window and ConversionTrack will start to analyze the log file. While the program analyzes the file, there will be a progress bar displayed on the screen. After the analysis is complete, ConversionTrack will give you a message box asking if you would like to view the report now. Press "Yes", and ConversionTrack will start load the report in your default web browser.
