Previous version have been unusable due to bugs and free fixes were not made available. For example no version before 2.0 can play videos encoded by recent versions of x264, the most widely used encoder (google 'weightp' for the details). No free fix was available, buying a new copy of 2.0 was necessary. Expect to have to buy it over and over to keep it working. CoreAVC Professional Edition 1.8.5 Reviewed by Marc on Feb 17, 2010 I suspect this product may work for some - but it didn't work at all for me. I submitted a "service request", and got no response. A few days later I submitted a follow up - still no response. I submitted a 3rd follow up indicating I would dispute the purchase through PayPal - and submitted a dispute through PayPal. Still no response. Then I got an e-mail indicating they were closing my service request (that they never responded to) since I never responded (?). I submitted an update indicating I would escalate the PayPal dispute to a claim. Still no response. I escalated the PayPal dispute to a claim, but it was rejected - apparently they only refund for items "not shipped", so as long as the seller ships you (or delivers online) something - you have no recourse. They could have delivered me a "hello world" utility, and PayPal would not recognize my claim. So - buy at your own risk. If it does anything - great! If not, they will never respond to you and you won't get your money back from PayPal. Review CoreAVC Professional Edition 2.0 now and share your experience with other users.
