I attempted to download SPX, using every conceivable symbol, including GSPC, with a $ or ^ preceding the symbol, with NO success. I have emailed Hquote several times. They no longer respond to inquiries. New subscribers, BEWARE. HQuote Pro Historical Stock Prices Downloader 6.58 Reviewed by clive Browning on Feb 3, 2010 This is a nice looking program and easy to set up and use. Thata€?s why I picked it over MLDownloader. However I should have tested it more thoroughly during the free trial period. But I purchased after a cursory look. Data download proved erratic with data missing, lagging by several days or for some reason some stocks would not download past the day I purchased. It does not work with Supercharts 4.0 because it does not support 255 symbols per directory. Of course all the above may be my setting up and using the product incorrectly. I will never know as the support is non existent. 5 requests for support went unanswered. On this alone I could not recommend the program. You wouldna€?t by a car if you couldna€?t get the parts or get it repaired. So why buy this? Test thoroughly before buying, including the support. Not recommended.
