NC Import for AutoCAD is a Numeric Control NC program (.nc) file import plug-in for AutoCAD?. This plug-in gives AutoCAD the ability to import toolpath data from NC program files. CNC Machines worldwide use Numeric Control (.nc, .ncc or .cnc) files to convert programmed instructions to tool movement. NC programs consist of a sequence of codes with parameter data to arrive at a precise description of the toolpath.

NC Import for AutoCAD is very easy to use. Once installed, it must be loaded into the AutoCAD environment. There are simple instructions for this in the ReadMe file. Once loaded it adds new commands to AutoCAD's existing commands and a new submenu called "NCImport" to the AutoCAD menu containing these newly added commands.

The 'NCImport' menu consists of the following commands:
# NCImport - Imports a NC file
# NCImportHelp - Displays the NC Import for AutoCAD help file
# NCImportRegister - Registers your copy of NC Import for AutoCAD
# NCImportAbout - Displays the NC Import for AutoCAD About box

NC Import for AutoCAD comes with detailed documentation for each command as well as a tutorial to get you started in the shortest possible time.
