PixName for Mac Publisher Description
PixName for Mac was designed to help organize digital pictures for Mac OS X. Camera-generated names can be comfortably changed to meaningful names, using PixName's mechanisms to reduce typing to the minimum. PixName for Mac stores picture folders chronologically, based on the dates contained in the pictures. This allows to efficiently create virtual folders corresponding to key words which are searched in the picture file names.

With renamed pictures, a search function allows to locate pictures by keywords in the file names. PixName for Mac creates virtual folders correponding to the search criteria over the full range of pictures or over a reduced range. Scanned pictures can also be handled, with the possibility to inject dates so that folder chronolgy can be maintained.
PixName for Mac incorporates a slide show which displays pictures dates and names outside the pictures themselves, with manual or automatic control of the show. Special effects are not used.
PixName for Mac can produce reduced-size pictures for email, and in some configurations can automatically invoke the email program.
