    Software Piracy

We all know that Microsoft has been taking more steps to prevent software piracy and it seems that China has become the focus. However, how about Microsoft's measures on other places, for example the UK?

"Software piracy means duplicating and selling software illegally. It can take many forms, including unlicensed copying, counterfeit products and hard-disk loading. We know that in many cases there is no intention to use software illegally. That's why we want to raise awareness of software piracy, and how to prevent it." This is the definition given by Microsoft UK.

The definition is not hard to understand, but anti piracy is really hard to be taken efficiently.

It is reported that Microsoft has launched a new anti piracy plan and will put two survey teams concentrating on software license of companies in UK during the nearest 3 year. The pirate software is expected to decline by 5%. MichalaAlexander, the leader of anti piracy Microsoft UK announced in a statement that if Windows pirate software would be declined by 5%, 30000 Microsoft partners in UK and also the local economic would be increased.

The survey will cover more than 800 suspicious companies in UK. Microsoft alleged that much more other measures would be taken, such as setting up anti piracy forum by cooperating with local legislative bodies, making advertisements on papers, etc.

Do you believe that there will be a day without piracy? No matter how, the battle of anti piracy is going on, and tomorrow is another day.
