Pixia Main Window
When you launch the Pixia from desktop or Programs group, you will see the above window which is the main window of Pixia. From the main window, users may new or open a picture, even open a picture from clipboard, config preference, or just exit.




Preferences
Start Pixia, and choose [Preference] from [File] menu at top left. This is the window of Preference. There are five category tabs in Preference: Basic, Layer, Undo, File and Advanced Option.




Settings
Click [View] - [Settings] for [Supplemental Settings]. (If you do not see [View] menu, open a new canvas, or press [F7] key.) Supplemental Setings has four setting tabs. Click the tab of the function you would like to set.




Color Adjustment
Click [Image] - [Color Adjustment] to open this window. There are two gray gradation bars. The horizontal one at the bottom (circled in yellow) is the original brightness, and the vertical one at left (circled in red) is the brightness after edit.

When you first open this window, the line is a straight diagonal since no change has been made.

Adjustments can be made by dragging handles.




Tone Balance
Click [Image] - [Tone Balance] to open the window. Tone Balance is another way of adjusting brightness.

The three sliders circled in red represent, from left to right, darkest part, middle part, brightest part. Slide them to adjust tone balance.

Histgram is the distribution map of brightness in the picture. A photograph of which the histgram is equally distributed is generally said to be a good photograph.
