Capture a screenshot

Firstly, set hokey you press to start capturing on the capture tab, and what you want to capture. Set what you want to do after a capture on the edit tab.

Secondly, press hotkey or choose a menu command to start a capturing.

Notes: You can change what you want to capture in the Configure Dialog. But when you capture by a menu command, you can change this without setting before. For it provides you ten alternate commands:
  • Default Capture
  • Full Screen
  • Active Window
  • Active Window Client
  • Window, Control and Button
  • Rectangle
  • Square
  • Ellipse
  • Circle
  • Polygon
Get the menu command in either the tray icon or the Image Editor.

Frequently Asked Questions - !Quick Screen Capture

  1. What's window object?
    Window Object is a part of application window. It may be menu, toolbar, status bar, button, picture, label, panel, client view and window itself.

  2. Can it save the captures automatically?
    Yes. You can select the option "Auto save" under capture tab of Capture settings dialog. Each image can be saved in the specific directory with automatically generated file name after being captured.

  3. Can it capture DirectX mode games?
    Yes. You may run Quick Screen Capture as system tray icon, and then start the game, then press the hotkey to capture snapshot of the DirectX game.
