PreparingDives

FirstDive:
  1. Start by choosing the Depth to which you want to dive.
  2. Then choose the Time you want your dive to last.
If you only want to make one dive then that's all there is to it. Click on the DiveProfile-tab and view your DiveProfile. Does it check out?

Second Dive In case you want to make more than on dive continue to the Tab SecondDive. It differs slightly from Tab FirstDive.
The NSG from the first dive is already entered automatically.
  1. Start by selecting the SurfaceInterval on the top left. This shows you the new NSG before start of the next dive.
  2. Then select the Depth of the second dive (remember to make the first dive the deepest one and all subsequent dives the same or shallower).
  3. Then select the time you want to spend on this dive. Notice that the maximum allowable ActualBottomTime is shown in a box.
<>br NOTE the next step should perform automatically, but you might want to check manually that it is allright.
  4. Then go to the NitogenSecuritySquare and in the list box choose a number equal to (or the closest bigger number ) the TBT in the RAT calculation field.
Your NSG at the end of this dive is shown in a box.

Third dive Works totally and completely exactly like the second dive.
Notice that both of these Tabs contain three large fields where you have to select four items. And they are: Interval, Depth, Time, NitrogenSecurity-check.

DiveProfiles

After planning your dive(s) click the DiveProfile Tab. Does Your DiveProfile look all right? Is your Final NSG low enough? If you don't know what a dive-profile is, then you should not dive! Take a course.

TheDiveProfileTab lets you view the calculations just made as if you had drawn the profile as recommended in the PADI dive manual.
The three main fields show for each dive: Depth, Time and End-of-Dive-NSG. Above these are shown: SurfaceInterval between each dive and the NSG after SurfaceTime (which of course is your Start-NSG for the next dive).

MinimumSurfaceInterval

It is often nice to be able to figure out how long one has to stay on the surface after a dive in order to come down to a specific NSG NitrogenSaturationGroup), which may be required for a particular dive wanted later.
Click the button or the Tab and it's as straightforward as the other pages.
  1. Select your current (AfteraDive-)NSG .
  2. Then select SurfaceInterval from the dropdown-list until the desired or required NSG appears.
That's all.

DiveLogs

When you click the DiveLog button you are taken to a table that shows you your planned dives in a form easy to understand.
You can then save the log for when you later write a book about your diving or for when you want to be able to verify how your dive was planned.
This will later also include the option of entering interesting notes like sightings, encounters, or accidents (well we hope that won't be necessary).
