To add a slice please do the following:
  1. Select page fragment in Internet Explorer.
  2. Then click on the mouse right button.
  3. Choose Add web slice from the pop-up menu.
  4. Slice has been added and can see it in the Slice Manager.

While viewing your web slices, you can group them the way you need:
  • by categories - your web slices are grouped by categories that you created while adding them;
  • by site - your web slices are grouped by the web addresses of those sites pages from which you added;
  • by dates - your web slices are grouped by dates when they were added;

  1. From what applications is it possible to add slices to SliceTheWeb?
    From the following browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5+, Firefox 1.0+, Maxthon. It may also work in other browsers based on Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  2. Why aren't earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer supported?
    The program may work in earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, but it is not guaranteed. For the program to work in earlier versions, you should download and update Microsoft XML Parser.

  3. Is it possible to work with the program if Microsoft Internet Explorer is not installed in the system at all?
    No. To be able to work with the program, you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5+ installed in the system even if you add slices from Firefox.
