Bar One Publisher Description

Bar One has been designed to be used with a ScanSnap scanner from Fujitsu. It will take the ScanSnap PDF output and automatically separate and rename the file by the contents of a barcode. Ideal purposes would be using it for Work Orders, Shipping Documents, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Check Stubs etc. or any other document that could be searched for by a reference number (barcode) and needs to be batch processed. The setup is easy and quick.

How Bar One works?

Bar One searches the top half of the each page of the PDF output file generated by ScanSnap for a 3 of 9 or Code 128 barcode. When one is found the file is separated and renamed the barcode contents. This process happens automatically in the background providing the user with the ability to load a batch of files in the Automatic Document feeder of the ScanSnap scanner, press the button and have the entire batch processed.

Setup:
Setup is easy and quick, the user enters an input folder (the folder where PDFs are placed from ScanSnap, an output folder, and a folder for failed files. The settings are already entered to detect page size and barcode type.
