    New Release of ECMerge 1.2

    Ellie Computing Merge 1.1 has just been released on February 2nd, 2006; the new version ECMerge 1.2 will come out in April 2006, featuring a major development - reports generation, and several enhancements.

    Reports
      ECMerge 1.2 will provide generation of XML and HTML reports for both files and folders with many customizable options:
    • generate Text Files Comparison reports for matching/different/conflicting items from a Folders Comparison
    • export report summary/details paragraph
    • define context outside of different/conflicting blocks in Text Files Comparisons
    • skip long blocks of text
    • simplified report for binary files (optional)
    ECMerge 1.2 will also allow you to export a UNIX Patch for Folders Comparisons.

    Enhancements
      Folders Comparisons:
    • filters by date (capability to filter files older/newer than a given date or number of days)
    • adjustable timezone for left/ancestor/right/result locations
    • long operations (such as file listing or comparison) can now be cancelled
    General
    • multi-threading capability (for a better use on Dual-Core and multi-processors architectures)
    ECMerge 1.2 will be a free upgrade for customers with registered copies of ECMerge 1.0 and 1.1. And it will be released on both Windows and Linux.
