Software Description:
ByteShift SiteScan XP is a Windows program for scanning web sites to find broken hyperlinks, missing pages, server errors and for measuring page response times. This process is sometimes loosely referred to as spider. SiteScan takes the process further by allowing you not only to detect missing pages, but also visually find the "bad" links within each page and fix them.

SiteScan includes a built in web browser allowing you to preview any page scanned. All links and images found on the page are listed adjacent to the browser window, clicking on any link will visually highlight it within the browser. You can even switch between browser and source code views, highlighting links in either view. When in source code view, you can amend the source code and save a new copy of your page ready for upload to your web server.

Of course, SiteScan results can be saved for later review or loading into Excel for advanced grouping, sorting and filtering. Many user configurable preferences are available to help you control how SiteScan performs from page types and protocols to follow down to the colors used when highlighting links and images in the browser.

You can find broken links, measure page response times, and highlight individual links on a page in browser or source code view, and other useful functions for constructing website.

Even if you are not a web masters, I think ByteShift - SiteScan XP also is useful for you.
