The algorithm uses the latest technology in natural language processing to identify key words, phrases, and names. JumpStart Index Maker opens Microsoft Word documents using your installed version of Microsoft Office. It then breaks apart the document page by page and identifies key words, phrases, and names within the page. The end result is TAB delimited file containing the first pass back-of-book index in a format that is easily imported into popular indexing software such as SKY Index, CINDEX, and MACREX.

While JumpStart Index Maker is designed to be used as a pre-processor for professional index creation software, it can be used by anyone who needs to incorporate a back-of-book index.

The Trial Version will process only the first 25 pages of a document. The Full Version will process the entire document. It has been tested on manuscripts up to thousands of pages.
