* Multiple-line Work
Argus is a true multi-line mailing system, that's why line configuration and coordination are so quick and easy. There are no special limitations to the number of concurrent connections, it depends only on users' possibilities and requirements. Data transfer with a node can be established either via Dial-up or via TCP/IP, this is determined by transport availability. Dial-up lines can be started automatically at Argus startup or manually by typing System / Open Dial-up Line menu command. Each dial-up line requires a communication port, so the number of simultaneously active lines in a system is limited by the number of ports. TCP/IP lines are created and managed by the TCP/IP Daemon.
