Free Download (EXE file)
File Version: 3.3.200
File Size: 6.08 MB

System Requirements of iRescue:
  • An Intel-compatible platform running Windows XP/Vista (or Windows server 2003 or later).

  • At least 256 MB of RAM (to run) and enough free disk space to store recovered files.

  • Memory- and disk space requirements may vary depending on the amount of data that needs to be recovered: if the volume containing the deleted files is large and nearly full, memory requirements may be higher.

  • Administrative privileges are required to run iRescue in Windows XP/Vista/2003.

  • iRescue recovers files from NTFS formatted volumes only. The target drive (the drive that will hold the recovered files) may be any format, as long as it is recognized by Windows.

iRescue Key features:
  • Undelete Mode: Recover data after accidental file deletion, even if the Windows recycle bin has been emptied, or if files bypassed the recycle bin altogether.

  • Unformat Mode: Recover data from damaged partitions, from volumes that were (accidentally) formatted, from deleted and recreated partitions (by using Fdisk or disk management).

  • Partition Recovery Mode: Locate a lost or deleted partition and recover data from it.

  • Auto-Pilot Mode: In common scenarios iRescue hardly requires any user input, all you need to decide is where to recover data from, where to copy recovered data to and then tag the folders/files you want to recover. For more complex cases the File System Reconstruction Wizard will guide you through the recovery process while allowing you to overrule decisions made by iRescue.

  • Unique File Validation: By actually examining contents of files iRescue estimates recoverability for specific files as well as the overall recoverability of your data.

  • Recovers all file types: Recovery capabilities are not limited to specific file types.

  • Recovers full directory structure: iRescue uses existing NTFS features to rebuild a directory tree even if directory information structures (indexes) are corrupt or missing.

  • Further damage prevention: iRescue does not need to write anything to the drive, so already deleted files can not be overwritten by anything iRescue is doing. Also, iRescue will try to lock the volume you're working with to prevent deleted files from being overwritten.

  • iRescue emergency download: Run a single file 'virtual setup' from CD, DVD or other removable media. The iRescue emergency virtual setup installs and runs iRescue in your computer's memory; nothing has to be actually installed.

  • Functional Trial: Using the trial version you can copy as many files as you like regardless of size and location. Try before you buy and see if iRescue can recover your files.
