Detailed Description of Vinyl Flooring Tiles 1.0

Vinyl Flooring Tiles Vinyl flooring tiles are one of the easiest floors that you can put down. Anyone with just a bit of DIY skill can take on this project and have a new floor in their house over the weekend. There are some tricks that you will need to be aware of or you could end up with a crooked floor.

When you first get your tile, it will need to get acclimated to the space that it is going to be installed in. If you plan on installing your tile on a Saturday, you would be best served to purchase the vinyl flooring tiles by Wednesday night and then leave them in the room for the next 3 nights.

Once you have the floor prepped, you will need to divide the room into quadrants. You do this by laying down a chalk line right down the middle of the room in one direction and then the other. The center point is your point of reference and where you are going to start at.

You will need to fill on the tile starting with a single piece at the middle corner and then work out from there. Fill in the tiling until you get to the wall. More than likely, you are going to have a small gap around the perimeter and that is to be expected. Leave it there and work on the other quadrants.

You are now ready to actually adhere the tile to the floor. You will basically repeat the same process that you did above, except this time you are putting down the flooring for real. After you have all of the full tiles, down, it will be time to work on the gaps that have to be filled.

Put a full tile down on mark the tile where it will need to be cut to fill the gap. Do that all the way around the room until you have all of the pieces ready to go. Whatever you do, do not cut the tiles on the new vinyl flooring tiles that you just laid. One slip of the knife and you are ripping up the floor and putting down new tiles again. After you have them all cut, you can put down the small pieces to fill in the gap and your floor is ready to go.
